EACOP Awards Scholarships to Tanzanian Graduates in Partnership with UDSM and DOCG
As part of the EACOP-UDSM Memorandum of Understanding and EACOP’s ongoing commitment to local content and capacity building, twelve Tanzanian graduates have been awarded master’s scholarships, thanks to a collaboration between EACOP and its contractor, Daqing Oilfield Construction Group Ltd. (DOCG). The scholarship awards ceremony took place on October 29th, marking a significant step in empowering Tanzanian professionals in the oil, gas, and extractive industries.
Sponsored by DOCG, this initiative supports graduates pursuing advanced degrees in engineering with a focus on sectors essential to Tanzania’s economic growth. The scholarships cover six master’s programs at the University of Dar es Salaam, with two students selected for each:
- MSc in Chemical and Process Engineering
- MSc in Power Electronics & Electrical
- MSc in Structural Engineering
- MSc in Oil and Gas Technology
- MSc in Production
- MSc in Petroleum Engineering
This scholarship program is designed not only to build technical expertise but also to invest in the future of Tanzania’s youth. Through advanced education and exposure to new technologies, the selected candidates will develop essential skills that will equip them to excel in their fields. Beyond benefiting the individual recipients, this initiative contributes to Tanzania’s broader development goals by cultivating a new generation of skilled professionals who will uplift their communities and drive sustainable growth
