MINISTER NDEJEMBI, COMMENDS EACOP PROJECT CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

Honorable Deogratius John Ndejembi (MP), minister for Energy of the United Republic of Tanzania commended massive progress of the construction of EACOP project during two days official visit at Marine Tank Terminal (MTT), Jetty, Pumping Reduction Station 2 (PRS 2) and Main Camp and Pipeline Yard 15 (MCPY 15) in Tanga region. The visit took place on 29th and 30th June 2026.

Honorable Ndejembi and his delegation which comprised of senior government officials were hosted by EACOP Managing Director Mr Guillaume Dulout for who led the delegation to visit MTT and Jetty facilities at Chongoleani peninsular and later completed the visit at PRS 2 and MCPY 15 in Handeni district.

During his visit Hon Ndejembi accompanied by Tanga Regional Commissioner Dr Batilda Buriani, praised EACOP management and contractors for joining hands to deliver the Project timely while ensuring Local Content commitments are achieved throughout the project execution. Hon Ndejembi was satisfied with EACOP efforts to use local companies to participate in the project by provision of good and services from local market and creation of employment for unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled local Tanzanians.

Among other senior government officials who participated in the visit included Handeni District Commissioner Hon. Salum Nyamwese; Commissioner for Electricity and Renewable Energy, Eng. Innocent Luoga; Managing Director of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), Mr. Mussa Mohammed Makame and Commissioner for Petroleum, Adv. Godluck Shirima.
