As part of its commitment to promoting National Content and capacity building, the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, through its Tier 1 contractor China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Company Limited (CPP), has launched a scholarship program targeting engineering students at Makerere and Kyambogo Universities.
The program aims to support academically gifted but financially disadvantaged students, enabling them to pursue and complete their engineering studies over three years.
This initiative reflects EACOP’s dedication to empowering local talent and enhancing skills development in Uganda’s oil and gas sector, in line with the project’s broader sustainability and national development goals.
