EACOP Hosts the Judicial Service Commission for Field Visit to Pumping Station 1
EACOP hosted a Judicial Service Commission delegation for a field visit to key oil and gas sites within the Albertine Graben region, including Pump Station 1 (PS1). The delegation, comprising 27 members and led by Hon. Benjamin Kabiito, chairperson of the commission, aimed to observe EACOP’s infrastructure and ongoing progress.
During the visit, the Judicial Service Commission saw the construction work at PS1, where above-ground installations are advancing steadily. The delegation also toured the main camp facilities, gaining a close-up view of EACOP’s infrastructure and operational standards.
This visit provided an in-depth look at recent advancements at PS1, highlighting EACOP’s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible infrastructure development. Hon. Kabiito and his team were able to witness firsthand the ongoing efforts in Uganda’s energy sector.
Engagements like these play a vital role in fostering strong partnerships between EACOP and governmental bodies, promoting transparency, and enhancing knowledge-sharing across sectors. We look forward to continued collaboration with the Judiciary and other key stakeholders as we work toward a vision of sustainable energy development in Uganda.
