EACOP today held a Supplier Development Forum at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, focusing on upcoming 2025 opportunities in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunication Security (EITS). The event brought together over 80 participants, including industry suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders.
The forum featured presentations from CPP and the EITS Contractors, accompanied by interactive Q&A sessions where participants addressed technical, commercial, and procedural queries.
In his remarks, EACOP Deputy Managing Director John Bosco Habumugisha reaffirmed the company’s commitment to local participation and safe operations. He explained that EACOP is developing unmanned systems, such as the pump stations, and reaffirmed the company’s Local Content commitment: “Whatever can be done locally by Ugandans will be done locally and safely.” He also highlighted EACOP’s capacity-building initiatives, noting that over 82 graduate interns have been trained in Uganda to date.
The EITS Contractors also highlighted ongoing Expressions of Interest (EOIs) open to suppliers:
