EACOP ACHIEVES MAJOR MILESTONE WITH SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF FIRST INTEGRATED E-HOUSE MLBV AT NYANZA ROAD EITS YARD

EACOP is proud to announce the successful completion and testing of the first Integrated E-House Main Line Block Valve (MLBV) at the Nyanza Road EITS Yard. This achievement marks the first of 65 stand-alone MLBV E-station containers 59 along the Export Pipeline and 6 on the Tilenga Feeder Line that will be deployed to support pipeline operations.

Each MLBV station consists of two 20 ft E-house containers, equipped with solar panels, batteries, power distribution boards, telecoms, control, and safety systems for remote monitoring and operations of each respective Main Line Block Valve. These modular structures will be installed at designated locations along the pipeline, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of EACOP’s infrastructure.

During the high-profile launch event held at the Nyanza Road, in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania, key stakeholders, including representatives from EACOP, the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA), the Taxes and Revenues Authority (TRA), the EITS contractor teams and The EITS subcontractors Nyanza Roads and Central Electric International Limited, gathered to witness the first MLBV E-House integration and testing success.

This milestone highlights the commitment to advancing the EACOP project by ensuring the highest standards in Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunication, and Security (EITS) systems integration along with its commitment towards the Tanzanian local content objectives. The first E-House MLBV will soon be transported to its designated site, paving the way for full-scale deployment of modular EITS buildings across the pipeline corridor.

“Successfully testing the first Integrated E-House MLBV is a testament to the hard work, precision, and collaboration of our teams. This marks the beginning of delivering essential infrastructure to support the EACOP pipeline and reinforces our commitment to meeting project milestones with excellence.”

A tour of the EITS Yard followed the ribbon cutting ceremony, offering guests an in-depth look at the assembly and integration process of the modular buildings.

What makes this milestone even more remarkable is that it was primarily achieved using local capabilities, reinforcing Tanzania’s expertise and the success of ongoing training and development programs.

The event highlights the strong local content strategy, ensuring that the project not only meets technical and engineering objectives but also solidifies the EACOP project’s commitment to local content empowerment.
